Ranya Idliby grew up with one foot in the East - Dubai - and one in the West - McLean, Virginia. She’s a Palestinian Muslim with deep Middle Eastern roots. Suzanne Oliver is a graduate of Texas Christian University, and ex-Catholic who converted to the Episcopal Church, and has always hoped to write a book - but not about religion. Priscilla Warner grew up in Rhode Island and attended Hebrew Day school, where she studied Torah, Jewish history, and Hebrew. Following September 11, 2001, these three New Yorkers began a quest to understand one another. Their initial goal was to write an interfaith children’s book that would highlight the connections between Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Along the way, their moments of conflict, anger, and frustration gave way to new understanding and great respect. An interfaith journey of the most profound kind, a conversation with the authors offers rare insight into others’ faith as well as an opportunity to deepen and explore one’s own beliefs.
