Health and Safety

Town Hall South values our ability to present nationally and internationally-known speakers, live and in person, here in the South Hills.  We look forward to gathering together with our friends and neighbors to enjoy these educational and entertaining lectures and engage in meaningful discussion of today’s issues.

The health and safety of those involved in presenting and attending our lectures is and has always been one of our top priorities.  Accordingly, during the course of the continuing COVID-19 pandemic, we will follow recommendations provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and state and local health officials with respect to COVID-19 protocols.  We will also follow any protocols required by our venue and speakers. Given the dynamic nature of the pandemic, we will send specific guidelines to our audience members prior to each lecture.  In general, our protocols will resemble those implemented by other arts and entertainment venues in the Pittsburgh area and may include vaccination and masking requirements. Hospitalization and positivity levels in Allegheny County may also impact the specific guidelines applied to each lecture.

Please be aware that our venue, the Upper St. Clair High School Theater, has earned the WELL Health-Safety Rating through the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI).  The WELL Health-Safety Rating is an evidence-based, third-party verified rating awarded after an annual review of a building’s health and safety policies and protocols, including but not limited to improved air flow and ventilation, as well as cleaning and sanitizing measures.  Additional information regarding the high school’s WELL Health-Safety Rating may be found on the Upper St. Clair School District’s website.

Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation so we may continue to feature live lectures in a manner that is safe for everyone involved.
